My Fair Maid's Tips for A Clean Bathroom!

Shower/Bathtub

  •  Before you start cleaning your shower, pull the shower curtain closed when not in use, so water can’t sit in the folds.
  • To un-clog your shower head, fill a plastic bag with white vinegar and place it over the head, securing with a rubber band. Soak overnight, then scrub with a toothbrush.
  • When removing soap scum to clean your shower or tub sprinkle some comet into the bottom and let sit for 2-3 minutes and then simply rinse and wipe down.

Floors

  • Bathroom floors are gross. (That’s a fact not a tip)
  • Do floors last, a vacuum works better than a broom.
  • Bathmats catch junk and are easy to rotate once a week.
  • Simply use pine-sol when mopping and give it a fresh scent!
  • Everyone loves a clean bathroom floor!

Toilet

  •  Leave a denture tablet in the toilet bowl overnight to remove stains.
  • Careful; don’t mix beach with toilet-bowl cleaners.
  • Get tough stains with extra-fine sandpaper or steel wool.
  • Use a toilet bowl brush as well when cleaning to remove mold and dirt that may be under the lip of the toilet.

Tile/Walls

  •  Rub grout with lemon wedges to get out mold.
  • Wallpaper; Scrub lightly with a damp sponge dipped in baking soda.
  • Vacuum powder off when dry then your walls are all clean.
  • Make sure to wipe down the walls and tile again to make sure all the residue has been removed.
  • Tile/Walls will look like new again.

Sink

  • Clean chrome fixtures with rubbing alcohol.
  • Don’t use an abrasive sponge on the fixtures.
  • Fill the sink with hot water and soak to loosen grime.
  • To remove hair simply wipe with a paper towel.
  • Spray down sink and counter to loosen the grime, then simply wipe down.
  •

Miscellaneous

  • Place a dryer sheet in the bottom of the trash can to absorb the smell.
  • Run the bath fan or crack a window when showering to prevent mold.
